Thanks to St John Ambulance!

Merry non denominational holiday period and a happy new year to you all.

As Jake mentioned in yesterday's post, this blog will hopefully become a lot more active in 2011. 3JD have been busy over the last few months working behind the scenes; sending emails, putting together documents and doing a whole lot of boring non-bloggable but essential stuff. Now as we move into 2011, we all have just a little bit more time to make regular updates and hopefully there will be a lot more exciting developments for us to blog about as our search for sponsors and fundraising campaign both go into full swing. (speaking of which why not check out www.3jd.co.uk or make a festive donation at http://www.justgiving.com/3JD)

Today's post is to give a massive thank you to St John Ambulance who have very kindly donated two places on their 'Activity First Aid' course to 3JD. Me and Jake will be heading over to their Poole training center in early January to be trained in basic and emergency first aid as well as specific cases including emergencies in public, conditions relating to extremes of temperature and many others.
Hopefully we won't be needing to use any of this training on our journey but there's a very definite possibility that we will and so it's brilliant that St John Ambulance have been so generous!

As the first of our sponsors, St John Ambulance have now been added to the 'sponsors' section of 3jd.co.uk which has also received a little bit of an overhaul in the last couple of weeks.

If you are interested in sponsoring 3JD or if you know anyone who might be, you can now download a sponsorship pack which gives details of how you can help the team as well as the many benefits our sponsors will receive. Please check it out at www.3jd.co.uk/3JDSponsorPack.pdf

Thanks for reading!
